We are so pleased to announce that Rob Thompson, our Hire Manager is the winner of not just one, but two awards at this year’s Hire Awards of Excellence.
As with all events this year, the live event took place online, so we went along to NuBar to watch the event remotely.
We were absolutely thrilled when Rob was first of all announced as the Hire Manager of the Year. The judges said the strength of this category really challenged them with the array of talent on show and the shortlist demonstrated good leadership from all of the Hire Managers who were nominated.
The award recognises the attributes of the individuals who are responsible for running a depot operation with profit responsibility, staff management, ensuring customer satisfaction and dealing with all of the problems!
The judges said Rob is hands-on and has personally taken on-board everything an independent tool hire business needs from a hire manager. As the winner he is versatile, forward-thinking and focuses on what the customer needs - resulting in outstanding customer service!
Sally Wray says:
“Rob has worked in the tool hire for 30 years and we are so pleased we nominated him as it confirms how the team feels about Rob, his work ethic and devotion to excellent customer service. Well done Rob, you’ve done us all proud!”
The second trophy for Hire Achiever is the pinnacle of individual achievement in the hire industry. It is the one award that truly demonstrates the importance of recruiting, nurturing and training the right people. These awards highlight great people and encourage their long-term commitment.
Rob was crowned Hire Achiever of the Year. The judges said all nominees deserved to win but Rob had taken a leap and seized an opportunity with a small hire company and shown an amazing range of competency levels and commitment. Rob is an outstanding achiever!
Rob thanked the GoHire team and his wife in particular who have supported him on this career journey.
