About Us
GoHire started life as Arnott Plant Hire back in May 1995 under the watchful eye of Ken Arnott. Ken ran the business for a number of years until he retired.
Sally Wray bought the business in January 2015 after being sick of leading a conventional life working for the Council. She decided that the tool hire business would be much more exciting!
In April 2015, Sally renamed and rebranded the business GoHire and in November 2015, the business moved to a larger premises in a more prominent location at Goulton Street.
Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength and is 100% focused on providing the best customer service imaginable. Great investment has been made in ensuring that the fleet is up to date and in excellent condition.
The dream team at GoHire achieved the SafeHire certificate in February 2017 and is soon to be installing cutting edge technology to monitor the fleet and manage the internal processes.
In October 2020, GoHire took the first exciting steps in the company growth plan by acquiring a branch In Grimsby, followed quickly after by the opening of the new East Hull Depot, on Chamberlain Road in April 2021.
We have a team of tool experts to provide a personal and knowledgeable service. Many of GoHire's customers consider us at GoHire to be an extension of their own team.
GoHire is striving to be the best power tool and equipment service possible to fulfil the needs of its customers, be they large, medium, small businesses or weekend DIYers.
